BMS | Battery Management System

GCK Battery develops in-house BMS and control systems.

This know-how is crucial to ensuring that batteries function properly and safely.

We design and develop our own electronic management systems:

  • Electronic schematics and routing
  • Development of software and algorithms linked to the chemistry of the elements
  • Prototyping
  • Test and validation
  • Development of test benches

We also offer quick and easy adaptation of our BMS to meet customer requirements.

The electronic boards are produced in-house, on our SMT line, giving us cost control, control of our supply chain and enhanced security.

TCU | Telematic Control Unit

We develop TCU for all types of vehicle, optimised for battery pack monitoring!

Our production facilities, based in france

We offer 100% Made In France manufacturing in our workshops in Lempdes (63), with a production capacity of 140,000 batteries a year, an automated production line and 3 automatic welding machines. The main components of our products are manufactured by GCK EMI, another subsidiary of the GCK group: BMS and power electronics, harnesses and cables, casing, cell holders, tags, etc. This collaboration enables vertical integration of components manufactured locally in the Brassac-les-Mines workshops.

An automated line by September 2024

A line dedicated to the production of core packs, the sub-assemblies that make up our battery packs.

Testing & validation

At every stage of the project, we test our products to guarantee their conformity, taking into account the specifications requested by each of our customers in order to provide them with a reliable and durable product. To do this, we use a range of test tools and test benches.

Static test bench for immersive batteries

 

  • Power and hydraulic tests – 48V / 50 kW
  • Fully automated test bench to simulate extra and interurban driving cycles. Simulation of 600 kms in 24 hours.
  • Characterisation of oil and battery ageing

Lithium-ion cell test benches

 

  • A 32-channel bench for testing 18650 or 21700 cylindrical cells
  • A 20-channel 80A bench for cycling power cells

Dynamic test bench

 

  • Lancia Delta MOTUL test vehicle – 400V / 150kW
  • Tests on immersive batteries in real conditions on the Charade racetrack
  • Tests without fluid, with static fluid or with circulating fluid.

  • Thermal cycling of batteries from -20 °C to +80 °C
