Coaches

Retrofit with H2 fuel cell

Retrofitting a coach with a hydrogen fuel cell requires the addition of batteries responding instantly to the driver’s needs.

GCK Battery equips all the vehicles retrofitted with hydrogen by its sister company GCK Mobility:

  • Immersion battery modules
  • 12S or 13S architecture, depending on the voltages required
  • Battery leasing with R100 certification

Boats

100% electric retrofit

GCK Battery provides solutions tailored to the constraints of the marine industry: compliance with specific regulations, IEC certification, support via our sister company GCK Mobility.

GCK Battery and GCK Mobility support players in the nautical sector in their environmental approach (reduction of atmospheric and noise pollution).

The Compagnie des Bateaux du Lac d’Annecy decided to take action in March 2022 by entrusting us with the electric retrofit of five cruise boats.

The retrofit will enable the boats to run for one day without intermediate recharging, for a total of 10 hours at a cruising speed of 20 km/h.

Retrofit with fuel cell | H2D2 Project

An XXL battery pack with outstanding features:

  • The largest energy capacity with 28 modules (just over 100 kWh),
  • The highest operating voltage of any battery pack on board a vehicle – maximum operating voltage of 823 volts,
  • Ability to deliver continuous power of 1 MW – more than 1,300 horsepower equivalent for an internal combustion engine,
  • Ability to deliver full power at ambient temperatures from -40°C to 45°C.
  • Based on the latest generation of immersive batteries module developed by GCK Battery.

This work is being carried out as part of the H2D2 project, funded by France 2030 and operated by ADEME. The project has also been accredited by the CARA Transport & Mobility Systems cluster.

Twin-E

Electric hybridation kit

Developed by Solution F, this kit consists in integrating an electric motor coupled to an epicyclic gearbox, the latter taking the place of the gearbox.

Addition of a battery placed in the flat floor of the boot:

  • R100-02 battery pack
  • Nominal 48V (42 to 58.8V)
  • Total energy: 9.2 kWh
  • Dimensions 680 x 470 x 95 mm

The vehicle can travel up to 70 km in 100% electric mode and recharges like a plug-in hybrid vehicle.
